In Romania there are very many orphans children or children abandoned by their own parents. Some of them, the good-fortuned, are getting to be adopted by other families, heaving lucky in this way to start a new life beside the adoptive parents, another are replaced by the responsible institutions in families who, though having their own children, accepted to bring up an abandoned child, receiving for that a monthly reward in money from the government, and another, the most unhappiest of them, are getting to live on the streets and in the canals of the town, reaching heavily the food for their own living. But the largest part of the abandoned children, more than 50.000, are living in special protective institutions, named  children`s houses  (or, by a new item, placement centers ) .To this category, we, that from the Children`s Houses Orphans Association, also belong. 

         Children`s Houses Orphans Association  was established in 1996, at the initiative of Paulin Andrei, who was also the first president of its, by 35 children who lives in the Schoolboys Children`s House and in the Schoolgirls Children`s House from Ramnicu Valcea city. From that moment, the number of members grew continuously, reaching today 200.

          Our association is looking to promote the interests of the children from those institutions, and to settle the most important problems that we are confronted. Whether in our everyday life we are confronted with a long series of necessities, like the lacking of a good feeding, insufficient and low quality of cloths or inadequate living spaces and grounds, these are not the most important problems of us, how it seems to be. The real problems of us are about affection nature and social integration. The fact that we are deprived of love from a family, which another children has in everyday, or the fact that, even when we are at school or on the streets, the people are gazing to us with some restraint when they hear that we are from the children`s house, that`s the thing that hurt us much. Even later, when we are finishing a school, and we have to look for a job or a house, it is very hard to settle those problems, because the people are considering us like backwards, from which is better to keep away.
